LG And Artlume Bring Digital Art to Smart TVs

LG Electronics has partnered with Artlume, an AI-driven digital art platform, to bring an extensive art collection to LG Smart TVs, transforming them into virtual art galleries. This collaboration, aimed at making art accessible globally, allows users to explore over 15,000 artworks, including classic masterpieces, contemporary photography, AI-generated pieces, and contributions from renowned institutions like London’s National Portrait Gallery and the Ashmolean Museum.

The service is available worldwide on LG TVs with webOS 6.0 or newer, encompassing models from 2020 onwards. Through the Artlume platform, users can personalize their experience by curating playlists via a mobile app and seamlessly displaying selected works on their TV screens. Artlume also features AI-powered art creation, enabling users to generate unique pieces using text prompts, which can then be showcased on their LG Smart TVs.

Artlume’s founder and CEO, Patrick Ashworth, highlighted the shared mission to democratize art and its potential to enrich lives, support mental health, and educate future generations. Chris Jo, LG’s senior vice president of platform business, emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing home entertainment with artistic experiences.

This partnership underscores LG’s strategy to expand its presence in the arts sector, integrating cutting-edge technology with cultural expression. By offering a diverse array of artistic content, LG invites users to enjoy the beauty of art from the comfort of their homes, creating a new way to engage with creativity and enrich living spaces.
