Lego Reveals Dungeons & Dragons Minifigures Wave

Earlier this year, Lego launched its first ever Dungeons & Dragons set to celebrate the game’s 50th anniversary. It was very good, but had room for some improvements, except one universally great thing about it was its handful of D&D minifigures. Now, the great news is we’re about to get even more of just those.

Revealed as part of Lego’s display of upcoming sets at San Diego Comic-Con this year, the toymaker confirmed that its next wave of blind-boxed collectible minifigures will be themed around Dungeons & Dragons. 12 figures will be available in the collection, offering a blend of generic characters inspired by various background and class archetypes from the game, and iconic villains for them to face off against, like a Mind Flayer (perfect for any Baldur’s Gate 3 customs you might have planned), or named characters like the villainous vampire Strahd Von Zarovich or Tasha, the Witch Queen. Here’s another full look at the minifigures, and a breakdown of who’s who.

  • Tiefling Sorcerer
  • Elf Bard
  • Halfling Druid
  • Dwarf Barbarian
  • Dragonborn Paladin
  • Aarakocra Ranger
  • Gith Warlock
  • Mind Flayer
  • The Lady of Pain
  • Strahd von Zarovich
  • Tasha the Witch Queen

Each figure includes at least one accessory, like the Intellect Devourer that comes with the Mind Flayer, or various weapons that come with the adventurers. What is neat is that, like the minifigures in the larger Lego D&D set, several of the adventurer minifigures feature extra face printing on the back of their heads, so you can swamp them around to change the presented gender. A fun way to either use the figures to represent your own tabletop heroes, or to make up for when you get a double of one character trying to complete your collection.

The Lego Dungeons & Dragons Collectible Minifigure series is available to pre-order now from Lego, ahead of a release on September 1, with blind-boxes costing $5 each.
